SBI Donates ₹1.55 Crore to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund

SRINAGAR: The State Bank of India (SBI) has donated ₹1.55 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support welfare and relief initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to officials quoted by Kashmir life, a delegation from SBI met Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu on Monday and handed over the cheque as part of the bank’s social responsibility efforts.

The delegation was led by Jayant Mani, Deputy General Manager (Business and Operations) and Controlling Head for Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh.

Expressing gratitude, the Chief Minister called the donation “a noble gesture of solidarity and service beyond banking.” He added that the contribution reflects SBI’s strong commitment to corporate social responsibility and its close bond with the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
