Scholarships Available for J&K OBC, EBC, and DNT Students for 2025–26
The Directorate of Social Welfare Kashmir has announced scholarship opportunities under the centrally sponsored PM-YASASVI scheme for the academic year 2025–26. These scholarships are available for students from Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), and De-notified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNT) who are studying in recognized institutes in the Kashmir division.

Key Eligibility Criteria:
· Annual Family Income: Must not exceed ₹2.50 lakh.
· Category: Must belong to OBC, EBC, or DNT categories as recognized by the government.
· Courses Covered:
· Pre-Matric Scholarship: For students currently in Class IX or X.
· Post-Matric Scholarship: For those who have passed Class 10th or 12th and are pursuing higher studies (Class XI & XII, Diploma, Graduation, Post-Graduation, or Professional Courses).

· Application closes: December 31, 2025
· Post-Matric Scholarship:
· Application opens: November 25, 2025
· Application closes: December 31, 2025

- Visit the National Scholarship Portal (NSP): https://scholarships.gov.in/.
- Submit the online application within the given deadlines.
- Upload required documents such as income, caste, and category certificates.
- Note: Students already receiving any other government scholarship are not eligible.
