Srinagar Incident: Policeman Loses Life After Electrocution: SRINAGAR: A police personnel died after suffering an electric shock at Purshyar Mandir in the Habakadal area of Srinagar on Tuesday, officials said.
Official sources identified the deceased as SGCT Veerji Koul, who was posted as a Personal Security Officer (PSO) with a social activist from the District Police Lines (DPL) Srinagar.
Sources said he recieved an electric shock while inside the temple premises.
He was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further investigation. (KNC)
