Srinagar Police Transfers 2026: 15 Officers Get New Postings, SHOs Changed
SRINAGAR, September 13: The Srinagar District Police Headquarters has ordered the transfer and posting of 15 police officers, including Inspectors and Police Sub-Inspectors, as part of a major administrative reshuffle in the district.

The transfers have been made in the interest of administration under Order No. 1178 of 2026 dated September 12, 2026. The officers have been relieved to join their new places of posting with effect from September 13, 2026.
Srinagar Police Transfer List 2026
As per the order, the following officers have been transferred and posted:
- Inspector Gowhar Hussain — SHO, Police Station Harwan
- Inspector Athar Parvaiz — SHO, Police Station Parimpora
- Inspector Gowhar Ali Ganai — SHO, Police Station M.R. Gunj
- Inspector Bilal Ahmad Khanday — SHO, Police Station Batmaloo
- Inspector Rabinder Singh — SHO, Police Station Rainawari
- Inspector Mushtaq Ahmad — SHO, Police Station Shaheed Gunj
- Inspector Tanveer Ahmad Dar — SHO, Police Station Nigeen
- PSI Suhail Anees Khan — SHO, Police Station Ahmad Nagar
- Inspector Naseer Ahmad Malik — SHO, Police Station Sangam
Officers Posted to DPL Srinagar
The order also transfers five officers to District Police Lines (DPL) Srinagar:
- Inspector Taseer Hamid
- Inspector Sabzar Ahmad
- Inspector Wasim Jehangir
- Inspector Showkat Hussain
- PSI Zaheer Nissar Naseer
Meanwhile, Inspector Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir has been posted as In-Charge DSB Srinagar.
Three Probationary DySPs Directed to Report to DPL
The order further states that three Probationary Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) of the 2024 batch, who were functioning as independent SHOs at Police Stations Shaheed Gunj, Rainawari and Ahmad Nagar, shall report to DPL Srinagar.
The officers will undergo the remaining components of their prescribed practical training programme, as directed in the order.
The latest Srinagar Police reshuffle comes into effect from September 13, 2026, with the transferred officers directed to take charge at their respective new places of posting.
