Tragedy in Rajouri, Oct 12: A 32-year-old man tragically lost his life after suffering a fatal electric shock in the Manjakote area of Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Sunday evening.kNC

According to official reports, the deceased has been identified as Mohammad Liyaqat, son of Mohammad Sadiq, a resident of Katarmal village in Manjakote. Eyewitnesses said the incident occurred when Liyaqat accidentally came in contact with a live electric wire near his residence.

He was immediately rushed to the Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

Authorities said that after completing all medical and legal formalities, the body will be handed over to the family for last rites. Meanwhile, the police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the electrocution.
