SRINAGAR: A tragic road accident claimed the life of a motorcyclist on the Jammu–Rajouri–Poonch National Highway near Dandesar in Nowshera subdivision on Wednesday.
According to official sources quoted by KNC, the mishap occurred when a truck (bearing registration number JK11E-9712) collided head-on with a motorcycle (JK11D-8587), resulting in serious injuries to the rider, identified as Angrez Singh, son of Tilak Raj, a resident of Dandani, Nowshera.

He was rushed to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Nowshera for immediate treatment but was later referred to GMC Jammu in critical condition. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries while being taken for advanced medical care, sources said.
Police officials have taken cognisance of the incident and launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances that led to the collision.
