Udhampur Tragedy: 23-Year-Old Man Found Dead on Railway Track in Baryal Area
UDHAMPUR, OCT 29 (Times of Kashmir): A tragic incident shocked residents of Udhampur district on Wednesday after a 23-year-old man was found dead on the railway track near the Baryal area.
Officials identified the deceased as Rinku Sharma, son of Girdhari Lal, a resident of Ghordi Bindla. The discovery was made early in the morning, prompting an immediate response from local police and railway authorities.
An official said that the exact cause of death is yet to be determined, and an investigation has been launched to uncover whether it was an accident, suicide, or foul play.
“A team has been dispatched to the site, and all necessary procedures, including identification and post-mortem, are being conducted,” the official added.
The body was later shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for medico-legal formalities. Police have registered a case and are recording statements from nearby residents and railway personnel.
