Vikrant Bhushan Appointed SP of Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau
SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir-born Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Vikrant Bhushan has been posted as the Superintendent of Police (SP) of the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (HSNCB) in Panchkula, following a official order issued by the Haryana Government on September 5.
A 2017-batch IPS officer of the Haryana cadre, Bhushan has built an extensive track record in state policing. Prior to his appointment at the HSNCB, he served as the SP of the Special Task Force (STF) in Haryana. His earlier assignments include key leadership positions such as SP of Sirsa and Mahendergarh, as well as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Jhajjar.
According to the official IPS civil list, Bhushan holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree and joined the police service after clearing the prestigious UPSC Civil Services Examination.
His posting to the HSNCB comes as part of a series of fresh transfers and postings within the Haryana Police framework. The Narcotics Control Bureau plays a critical role in the state, serving as the central authority responsible for enforcing anti-drug measures and coordinating operations to curb narcotics-related offenses across Haryana.
