SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 4 – 5 Booked in Fake NHM Selection List Scam in Kashmirm.The Crime Branch Kashmir (Economic Offences Wing) has registered a formal case against five individuals for allegedly circulating a fake National Health Mission (NHM) selection list, exposing a well-planned scam that targeted job seekers in the valley.
Case Background:
- Complaint Source: State Nodal Officer, NHM J&K
- Fake Document: “Provisional Selection List of Candidates for Different Posts (Kashmir Division)”
- Reference: Against Notification No. SHS/NHM/J&K/HR/10259 dated 10.05.2021
- Circulation Method: Social media platforms
Investigation Findings:
- NGO “J&K Health Care Services” was approved during COVID-19 for voluntary manpower
- Management members exploited this approval in a planned conspiracy
- Collected money and documents from volunteers promising permanent NHM jobs
- Created fake selection list with forged signature of Mission Director, NHM J&K
