19-Year-Old Youth Dies in Road Accident in Ganderbal’s Kangan
Srinagar, Oct 26: A 19-year-old youth lost his life in a tragic road accident in the Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday, officials said.
According to reports, the youth was riding a scooty when he lost control and hit a tree near Sultanpora in Kangan, resulting in serious head injuries. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment but was declared dead on arrival by doctors.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Sami, son of Akbar Ali, a resident of Kangan, Ganderbal.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated proceedings into the matter.
Road accidents continue to be a growing concern in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly among young riders. Authorities have repeatedly urged commuters to follow traffic rules and wear helmets while riding two-wheelers to prevent such tragedies.
