KPDCL Announces Planned Power Shutdowns Across Kashmir from January 18 to 27, 2026

SRINAGAR: The Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, has announced multiple planned power shutdowns across several districts in Kashmir during January 18–27, 2026, for maintenance and line work.

A 33 kV shutdown on the Khonmoh-Zawoora line will affect power supply to Balhama, Wuyan, Munpora, parts of Khonmoh, and adjoining areas from 10 AM to 3 PM on January 25.

The 33 kV Tapline of Tral 1st line from Nowda will be shut down, impacting Tral, Payeen, Devar, Kahlil, Tral Bala, Bajwani, and nearby areas on January 18 and 22, between 10 AM and 3 PM.

Power supply to Chararipora, Pakherpora, Kamrazipora, and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 3 PM on January 19, due to a shutdown of the 33 kV Chararipora tapline of the Lassipora-Mitrigam line.

The 33 kV Sangam-II line shutdown will disrupt electricity to Siamoh, K-Koot, Kaigam, Hariparigam, Chakoora, Gulzarpora, Panzgam, Railway, and surrounding areas on January 19 and 22, from 10 AM to 3 PM.

Similarly, power supply to Shar, Wahab Sahib, Bathan, and adjoining areas will be affected on January 24 and 27 from 10 AM to 3 PM due to a 33 kV Pampore-Khrew line shutdown.

The 33 kV Pampore-Lethpora line shutdown will impact Samboora, Lethpora, CRPF, Ladhoo, Konibal, Chandhara, LIS, and nearby areas on January 19 and 21, between 10 AM and 3 PM.

Power to IE Khrew, Wuyan, and local cement plants will be affected on January 18, 10 AM to 3 PM, due to the 33 kV Pampore-SIDCO line shutdown.

Besides, 33 kV Nihalpora-Gulmarg line shutdown will affect Reram, Chandilora, Watnoo, Tangmarg, Kralweth, Mulgam, Ferozpora, Katipora, Rangawali, Kulhama, Shai, Buderkoot, Gulmarg, Khyber, Chandil, Wanigam, Malgam, Malpora, and surrounding areas on January 19 and 24, from 10 AM to 3 PM.

KPDCL has urged residents and businesses to plan accordingly during the scheduled maintenance periods.
