J&K Police Issues Adjustment Orders for SIs and ASIs

Srinagar, Feb 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Police Headquarters has issued an adjustment order for Sub-Inspectors (SIs) and Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) across different zones of the Union Territory.

According to Order No. 564 of 2026 issued by the Police Headquarters Jammu, several officers who were recently promoted have been adjusted in different zones and wings including Armed Police, Kashmir Zone, Jammu Zone, CID and Security.

The order states that the adjustments will take effect from the dates of their respective promotions. Some officers have been posted to A/Zone, K/Zone, Jammu Zone, CID and PTS (M) as per administrative requirements.

The order further mentions that the officers who are required to change their place of posting shall be relieved immediately to join their new assignments.

The adjustment has been made with the approval of the Director General of Police (DGP), J&K.

Officials said the move is part of routine administrative reshuffling aimed at strengthening functioning in various police units across Jammu and Kashmir.
