J&K Issues Order for Placement of PG Teachers as I/C Lecturers
Srinagar, Feb 17: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, School Education Department, has issued an order regarding the placement of PG Masters/PG Teachers as In-charge (I/C) Lecturers in the discipline of Dogri.
As per Government Order No. 74-JK (Edu) of 2026 dated 17.02.2026, the placements have been made on an officiating basis in their own pay and grade, with charge allowance as admissible under rules. The order states that the placements will take effect immediately.

List of PG Masters/PG Teachers placed as I/C Lecturers (Dogri):
- Asha Devi (SC)
- Anuradha Sambyal
- Anita Jamwal
- Rakesh Kumari (ALC)
- Tilak Raj
- Veena Devi
- Mamta Sharma
The department clarified that the placement is temporary on a stop-gap basis and will be subject to the outcome of any pending court cases. It will not confer any preferential right for regular promotion under DPC/PSC rules.
The order further states that if any adverse report is received against the incumbents, their placement may be withdrawn without notice. The concerned lecturers have been directed to join their new place of posting within seven days from the issuance of the order.
