J&K Police Adjusts 49 Head Constables After Promotion
Jammu, Feb 21: The Headquarters of Jammu and Kashmir Police has issued Order No. 600 of 2026 dated February 21, 2026, regarding the adjustment of 49 Head Constables following their promotion.
As per the official order, the personnel have been adjusted on an “as is where is basis” with effect from the dates of their promotion. The decision has been taken in reference to earlier Zonal Police Headquarters orders.

The officials who are currently on attachment under different PHQ orders will continue to perform their duties at their present places of deployment. Moreover, those under transfer to other Wings/Zones shall be deemed adjusted at their respective places of transfer as already ordered.
The order has been issued with the approval of the Director General of Police.
