KPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdown in Several Areas of Kashmir

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of the Valley due to maintenance works on various 33 KV lines, officials said.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdown of the 33 KV Baramulla–1st Kanlibagh Tapline will be observed on March 7, 2026. As a result, power supply to GMC, Kanlibagh, Microwave, Sangri and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Similarly, the shutdown of the 33 KV Mattan–Pahalgam line will be carried out on March 9 and March 11, 2026. During this period, electricity supply to Pahalgam, Batkoot, Aishmuqam, Saller and nearby areas will remain affected from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Meanwhile, the 33 KV Pampore–Pulwama line will also undergo scheduled shutdown on March 10 and March 12, 2026. The maintenance work will disrupt power supply to Kakapora, Newa, Pahoo, Nehama, Zadoora, Gudoora, Parigam and adjoining areas from 8:00 am to 12 noon.

KPDCL has advised residents in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements during the shutdown period.
