Fire Guts Darul-Uloom in Baramulla’s Boniyar
Baramulla, Oct 18: A devastating fire on Saturday evening gutted a Darul-Uloom (Islamic seminary) in the Boniyar area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
According to reports, the fire started in one of the rooms and quickly spread, engulfing the entire building.
Police and locals rushed to the spot and launched a joint rescue operation. Residents said they managed to save a nearby mosque and several houses, but the Darul-Uloom was completely destroyed.
Locals alleged that the seminary could have been saved if the Fire and Emergency Services had arrived on time.
