Jammu Schools Timings Revised From October 1: Check Summer and Winter Zone Schedule
Srinagar: The Director School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has revised the school timings for all government and recognised private schools up to the Higher Secondary level across the Jammu division.
The revised school timings will come into effect from October 1, 2026, with separate schedules notified for schools falling under the Summer Zone and Winter Zone.
Jammu School Timings From October 1
As per the revised schedule, schools in the Summer Zone of the Jammu division will operate from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Schools falling under the Winter Zone will function from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.

DSEJ Directs Schools to Follow New Timings
The Director School Education Jammu has directed all concerned educational institutions to strictly adhere to the prescribed timings from October 1.
The department has also made it clear that any deviation from the notified schedule will invite action against the defaulting institution under the rules in force.
Schools across the Jammu division have therefore been directed to follow the timings applicable to their respective Summer or Winter Zone.

The revised schedule is applicable to schools located in the respective zones of the Jammu division. Parents, students and school authorities should check which zone their institution falls under before following the new reporting and closing times.
