J&K Bank Recruitment 2026 Notification : has released a notification inviting online applications for engagement of Apprentices under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). The recruitment will be conducted as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 for a duration of one year.

Selected candidates will be deployed in different branches and offices of the bank across various districts based on administrative requirements.

The online registration process will commence from 20 April 2026. The last date to submit the application form is 26 April 2026. Candidates must also complete the fee payment by 26 April 2026.

Vacancy Details

A total of 614 Apprentice posts have been announced. Out of these, 461 vacancies are allocated to Jammu & Kashmir, while 18 posts are for Ladakh including Kargil and Leh districts.

Additionally, 135 vacancies are reserved for Rest of India including major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Bangalore, and Mohali.

The number of vacancies may change depending on the requirements of the bank.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have completed graduation from a recognized university or institute. The degree should have been obtained on or after 01 January 2022.

Applicants must also have studied the local or official language of the region they are applying for at the 10th or 12th level.

The minimum age required is 20 years, and the maximum age limit is 28 years as on 01 January 2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules for reserved categories.

Stipend Details

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹13,500. This includes ₹9,000 contributed by the bank and ₹4,500 provided by the government through Direct Benefit Transfer.

A conveyance allowance of up to ₹1,250 per month will also be provided. No additional benefits or allowances will be given during the training period.

The government share of the stipend is applicable only to candidates below 35 years of age.

Training Details

The apprenticeship will be conducted for a period of 12 months. Working hours will generally be from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Candidates will be eligible for 12 days of casual leave during the entire training period. The training aims to provide hands-on experience in banking operations.

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of an online written examination followed by document verification.

The examination will include 100 objective-type questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The duration of the test will be one hour.

The paper will be divided into two sections including General Awareness with English Comprehension, and Quantitative Aptitude with Reasoning Ability.

There will be a negative marking of one-fourth mark for each incorrect answer. The final merit list will be prepared based on district, region, and category.

Application Fee

Candidates belonging to the General category are required to pay an application fee of ₹700. Reserved category candidates need to pay ₹500.

The fee must be paid online and is non-refundable under any circumstances.
