KPDCL Power Shutdowns in Kashmir: Areas to Face Electricity Cuts on September 15, 17, 19 and Other Dates
Srinagar: KPDCL announces scheduled power shutdowns across Kashmir
Srinagar: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns across several areas of Kashmir during September and early October due to the shutdown of various 33 kV transmission lines.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the affected areas will experience power interruptions mainly between 8 am and 2 pm on the scheduled dates.
Power shutdown on September 15 in north Kashmir
Power supply to Watlab, Warpora, Hatlangoo, Dangerpora, Qunsoo, Dooru, Mundji, Shiva, Tujjar, Shrine, Arampora, Adipora and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on September 15.
The shutdown has been scheduled due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Amargarh-Bandipora line.
Uri areas to face shutdown on multiple dates
The 33 kV LJHP-Uri line will remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on September 21, 23, 26, 28 and 30, and October 3.
During these scheduled shutdowns, power supply will be affected in Salamabad, NHPC, MES Uri, TFC Uri, Gharkote, Bandi, Mohura, Rampur, Bijhama, Dhani, Bagna, Kamalkote, Paranpillam and adjoining areas.

Srinagar areas affected on September 19
Several areas of Srinagar will also experience a scheduled power shutdown on September 19 from 8 am to 2 pm.
The affected areas include K K Mohalla, Nowpora, Bohrikadal, BB Shah, Babademb, Bishembarnagar, Gousia Hospital, Naisarak, Barbarshah, Exchange, Basantbagh, Car Parking, Maisuma and adjoining areas.
The shutdown is due to the scheduled shutdown of the 33 kV Bemina-Fateh Kadal and 33 kV Bemina-Barbarshah lines.
South Kashmir power shutdown on September 15 and 17
In south Kashmir, power supply to several areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on September 15 and 17.
The areas include Ashajipora, Dialgam, Rohu, Malaknag, Reshibazar, Janglat Mandi, Shirpora, Nowgam and adjoining areas.
The scheduled shutdown is linked to the shutdown of the 33 kV Wanpoh-Ashajipora line.
Budgam areas to face power cut on September 17
The 33 kV Budgam line will also remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on September 17.
As a result, power supply will be affected in Budgam, Sabdan, Nasrullahpora, Jawalapora, Town Ompora, SIDCO Housing Colony, Railway Station, NIFT and adjoining areas.
KPDCL advises consumers to plan accordingly
Residents and consumers in the affected areas are advised to plan their electricity-dependent activities accordingly during the scheduled shutdown hours.
The power interruptions are part of the scheduled shutdowns of the concerned 33 kV lines for the works specified by KPDCL.
