J&K Police Transfers 17 Personnel to A and K Zones

Jammu, Mar 7: The Jammu and Kashmir Police has issued a transfer order for 17 police personnel in the interest of administration. The order was issued from Police Headquarters in Jammu and will take effect immediately.

According to the official order (No. 766 of 2026), several Head Constables, Selection Grade Constables (SGCt), and Constables have been transferred from different JKAP Security Battalions and the Security Wing to A Zone and K Zone for further duties.

Among those transferred are HC Bilal Ahmad, HC Gh Mohi-ud-Din, HC Mehraj-ud-Din, SGCt Eijaz-ul-Hassan, SGCt Mohd Mukhtar, SGCt Mushtaq Ahmad, SGCt Manzoor Ahmad, SGCt Ab Hamid, SGCt Basharat Aziz, SGCt Yasir Ahmad, SGCt Mohammad Altaf, SGCt Kausar Abbas, SGCt Mushtaq Ahmad, SGCt Javeid Hussain, Ct. Muhammad Rafiq, Ct. Nawaz Ahmad, and Ct. Farooq Ahmad.

Most of the personnel were earlier posted in 3 JKAP Security Battalion, 11 JKAP Security Battalion, 12 JKAP Security Battalion, and the Security Wing.

The order further states that the post of Head Constable held by Mehraj-ud-Din during his posting in the Security Wing has been restored to Kashmir Zone.

The personnel have been directed to report to their new places of posting immediately, and the order has been issued with the approval of the Director General of Police, J&K.

The order was digitally signed by **Sandeep Wazir, AIG-P, on behalf of the DGP J&K.
