J&K Tourism Department Recruitment 2025: The Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department has invited applications from certified and accredited Snow Safety Officers to lead the Ski Patrol Team at the world-famous Gulmarg Ski Resort for the winter season 2025–26. The engagement will be for a period of three months starting from January 1, 2026, to March 31, 2026.
According to the official notification, eligible candidates must possess a qualification in Avalanche Snow Studies (Level-2 or Level-3) and have 3 to 4 years of experience working as a Snow Safety Officer or handling explosives for avalanche control and mitigation.
J&K Tourism Department Recruitment 2025 Overview
The selected Snow Safety Officer will:
- Lead the Ski Patrol Team in a proactive and coordinated manner
- Segregate the ski terrain into marked and unmarked zones
- Conduct avalanche mitigation operations, including controlled use of explosives
- Issue weather and avalanche advisories based on local conditions
- Supervise evacuation and first aid for injured skiers
- Train local ski patrol members in snow safety practices
- Advise the J&K Cable Car Corporation and Tourism Department on ski lift operations
- Submit an annual report on the resort’s snow safety operations after contract completion
