Kathua Police Transfers Several Officers, Orders Immediate Posting Changes
Kathua, March 27: In a recent administrative move, District Police Headquarters Kathua has ordered the transfer and posting of several police officers with immediate effect. The order, issued under Order No. 203 of 2026, aims to streamline functioning and improve operational efficiency across the district.
According to the official order, Inspector Pawan Singh has been transferred from SHO AHTU Kathua to Police Station Bani as SHO. Inspector Surinder Raina has been moved from DPL Kathua to take charge as SHO AHTU Kathua.
Among Sub-Inspectors, PSI Khem Raj has been shifted from Police Station Kathua to Police Post Nagri as In-Charge. PSI Deepak Kumar has been transferred from DPL Kathua to Police Station Lakhanpur as Investigating Officer. PSI Rohit Sharma will now serve as Investigating Officer at Police Station Malhar after being moved from DPL Kathua.
Similarly, PSI Manish Singh has been transferred from Police Station Malhar to Police Station Hiranagar as Investigating Officer. ASI Chetan Sharma has been posted as Incharge Estate at DPL Kathua after his transfer from DPL Kathua.
The order further states that all the officers must report to their new places of posting immediately without any delay.
The directive was issued by Mohita Sharma (IPS), Senior Superintendent of Police, Kathua, in the interest of administration.
Authorities expect that these changes will strengthen policing and ensure better law and order management in the district.
