KPDCL Announces Power Shutdown Schedule for Parts of Bandipora and Kulgam from July 15–21

Srinagar, July 14: The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), has announced a scheduled power shutdown in several areas of Bandipora and Kulgam districts to facilitate maintenance work on 33 kV power lines.

According to the notification, the 33 kV Badampora–Dab Tapline will remain shut on July 16 and July 20, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. As a result, electricity supply to Dab, Batpora, Rabitar, and adjoining areas will remain affected during the shutdown period.

In another maintenance schedule, the 33 kV Wanpoh–Qaimoh line will remain under shutdown on July 15, July 18, and July 21, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Power supply to Qaimoh, Khudwani, Redwani, Ghat, and nearby areas will be interrupted during these hours.

Similarly, the 33 kV Kulgam–Devsar line will remain shut on July 15 and July 18, 2026, between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. The power outage will affect Ashmuji, Chambgund, Kilam, Devsar, Sopat, Akhal, Pombai, and adjoining areas.

KPDCL has advised residents of the affected areas to plan their activities accordingly and has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused due to the essential maintenance work.
