The planned interruptions, slated between October 18 and October 25, 2025, will facilitate critical maintenance and upgrade work at several key grid substations and transmission lines.

Consumers across multiple districts, including Srinagar, Pulwama, and Budgam, are advised to plan their daily activities accordingly. The corporation has assured that these essential works are aimed at improving long-term power reliability and system stability as the region heads into the winter months.

Detailed Power Shutdown Schedule & Affected Areas

Friday, October 18 (9:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

Work: Maintenance at 132 KV Grid Substation Pampore and 132 KV ICT Circuits Konibal.

Affected Areas: Lethpora, Kakapora, Newa, Pinglena, Tenghar, Pulwama Town, Kadlabal, Pahroo, Samarbugh, Shar Shali, JK Cements, Pampore-I & II, Government Press, Panthachowk, Lasjan, and adjoining areas.

Monday, October 20 (9:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

Work: Shutdown of 220 KV Amargarh–Zainakote and Bemina circuits.

Affected Areas: A significant portion of Central and North Kashmir including Tengpora, Batamaloo, Basant Bagh, Barbarshah, Fatehkadal, Khayam, Karan Nagar, Shalistore, Singhpora, Mirgund, and several areas in Pattan like Palhallan, Hamray, Aglar, Shahgund, Naidkhai, Markundal, and Wanganpora. In Srinagar, Kawdara, Mughal Masjid, Safakadal, Takanwari, Zoonimar, Soura, MR Gunj, S.H. Pora, and Shreen Bagh will also be impacted.

Wednesday, October 22 (9:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

Work: Maintenance on the 33 KV Ahmadpora–Beerwah and Ahmadpora–Magam lines.

Affected Areas: Beerwah, Arizal, Khag, Magam, Aripanthan, Mazhama, Sail Gondipora, Arwah, Najan, Chowdara, Raiyar, Doodhpathri, Poshker, Sujan, and adjoining localities.

Saturday, October 25 (9:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

Work Part 1: Shutdown at the 132 KV Grid Substation Rawalpora.

Affected Areas: Rawalpora, Chanapora, Peerbagh, Bones and Joint Hospital, Bagh-i-Mehtab, B.K. Pora, Khanda, Wanbal, Doodganga, Rangreth, JKLAI, BEACON, FIL Industries, RASU, Airforce Station, and adjoining areas.

Work Part 2 (10:00 AM – 3:30 PM): Shutdown of the 33 KV Arizal Tapline.

Affected Areas: Arizal, Zanigam, Raiyar, Doodhpathri, and adjoining areas.
