MeT Forecasts Light Snowfall in Jammu & Kashmir’s Higher Reaches on October 28

SRINAGAR, Oct 24 —MeT Forecasts Light Snowfall in Jammu & Kashmir; The Meteorological Centre Srinagar (MeT) has forecast generally dry but cloudy weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir until November 3, with a possibility of light snowfall over isolated higher reaches on October 28.

According to the latest MeT bulletin, weather conditions from October 25 to 27 will remain partly cloudy and dry — providing favourable conditions for outdoor and agricultural activities.

On October 28, skies are expected to turn partly to generally cloudy, with chances of light rain at a few places and light snowfall over higher altitudes. Following that, from October 29 to 31, the region is likely to witness mainly dry and partly cloudy weather.

The forecast further indicates that the same pattern of dry and partly cloudy conditions will continue through the first three days of November (Nov 1–3).

The Meteorological Department has also advised farmers to continue their regular agricultural operations, as weather conditions are expected to remain largely favourable across the Union Territory.
