JAMMU & KASHMIR, October 16: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has officially declared a paid holiday on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, for the Assembly Constituencies of 27-Budgam and 77-Nagrota.
The holiday has been declared to facilitate voting in the upcoming bye-elections, as per the directive from the Election Commission of India.

Important Rules for Employers:
- No Wage Deduction: Employers cannot make any deduction from the wages of an employee for this holiday.
- Payment for Daily Wage Workers: Even employees who do not typically receive wages for a day off (like daily wage workers) must be paid for this holiday.
- Penalty for Violation: Any employer who contravenes these orders can be punished with a fine that may extend to five hundred rupees.
The order (No.1355-JK(GAD) of 2025) was issued by M. Raju, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government.
