Power Alert: KPDCL Announces Shutdowns Across Multiple Areas of Kashmir : SRINAGAR: Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has informed that multiple scheduled shutdowns of 33 KV transmission lines will be carried out across various parts of Kashmir, affecting power supply in several areas on different dates in April 2026.
According to the statement, shutdown of the 33 KV Wanganpora–S.H. Pora line will be observed on April 21 from 3 PM to 5 PM, affecting Jamallata, Nawa Bazar, Zaina Kadal, Zal Dagar, Nowhatta, Nawa Kadal, MR Gunj, Kaka Sarai, Maidan Pora, SMHS Hospital and adjoining areas.
Similarly, shutdown of the 33 KV Shamsipora Tap line will be carried out on April 23 and 27 from 9 AM to 4 PM, affecting Shamsipora and adjoining areas.
The 33 KV Wanpoh–Qaimoh line shutdown on April 21 from 9 AM to 3 PM will affect Qaimoh, Rampora, Mathal Hama, Rahpora, Redwani, Kujar, Nowbal and nearby areas.
The 33 KV Wanpoh–Qazigund line will remain shut on April 23 from 9 AM to 3 PM, affecting Qazigund town, Y.K. Pora, Manzmoh, Nassu, Baitengo, Razloo, Chowgam, Khargund, Lamer and adjoining areas.
Shutdown of the 33 KV Tral-II line has been scheduled on April 23, 27, and 29 from 9 AM to 3 PM, affecting Batagund, Lurgam, Nanar, Taki, Lam, Jawharpora, Aripal, Khangund and adjoining areas.
The 33 KV Wanganpora–BAMK line shutdown on April 21 from 9 AM to 3 PM will affect Shanglipora, Danimar, Sangam and nearby areas.
Similarly, shutdown of the 33 KV Wanganpora–Khaniyar line on April 21 from 9 AM to 3 PM will affect Miskeen Bagh, Rozabal, Maqdoom Sahib, Hazari Bagh, Jogi Lanker, JLNM Hospital, Kondabal, Hasnabad and adjoining areas.
The 33 KV Baramulla-I line shutdown on April 25 from 9 AM to 3 PM will affect main Baramulla, Kanibagh, Microwave and adjoining areas.
KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in view of the scheduled maintenance shutdowns.(SOURCE: KASHMIR LIFE)
