Power Shutdown in Multiple Areas in Jammu and Kashmir

SRINAGAR: The Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, has announced scheduled shutdowns of two 33 kV transmission lines in mid-February, leading to temporary power disruptions in parts of Srinagar and north Kashmir.

According to the official information, the 33 kV Cheshmashahi–TRC–Nedous line will remain shut on February 15, 2026 from 10 am to 3 pm. As a result, electricity supply to Dal, Paras Hospital and 33 kV installations of the Rajbagh Tapline will be affected during the period.

In a similar measure, the 33 kV Nehalpora–Gulmarg line will observe shutdowns on February 14 and 17, 2026 from 9 am to 3 pm. Power supply to Reram, Chandilora, Watnoo, Tangmarg, Mulgam, Ferozpora, Katlipora, Rangwali, Kulhama, Gulmarg, Khyber, Chandil, Wanigam, Krelweth, Malpora and adjoining areas will remain affected on the specified dates.

The shutdowns are being carried out as part of scheduled maintenance works.
