SRINAGAR: A private employee was killed in an accident at Cemtac Cement Factory in Khrew area of Pulwama district on Monday, officials said.

Officials said the incident occurred within the factory premises when a dumper bearing registration number JK01AF-7211 allegedly struck a worker during routine operations. The victim has been identified as Ghulam Rasool Regoo, a private employee at the factory.
Following the accident, the injured worker was rushed to Primary Health Centre Khrew for medical assistance, where doctors declared him dead.
Police reached the spot soon after the incident and took cognizance of the matter. Officials said necessary legal formalities have been initiated and an investigation has been launched to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the accident. [KNT]
