SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has issued a fresh schedule of planned power shutdowns that will impact several areas of Srinagar and Ganderbal on December 13, with additional outages notified for later in the month.

As per the Chief Engineer (Distribution), the 33 KV Arampora–MES line will remain shut on December 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., affecting Zangli Garrison and nearby areas.

Similarly, the 33 KV Alasteng–Nagbal line will remain shut on December 13, 16 and 20 during the same hours. This shutdown will impact Shuhama, Bakoora, Nagbal, Malshaibagh, Saloora, Gadoora, Fatehpora, Shairpathri and adjoining localities.
The 33 KV Alasteng–Zakura line is also scheduled for shutdown on December 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., affecting Pandach, Pathan Colony, Gulabagh, Mir Mohalla, Umarhair, Nowbugh, Ahmad Nagar, 90 ft Road, Khalmullah and surrounding areas.
KPDCL stated that these shutdowns are mandatory to facilitate maintenance and ensure stable power supply during winter.
