Tragedy in Doda:, October 15, 2025 – In a tragic incident in Doda district, two teenage boys drowned in Chiralla Nallah near Tehsil Bhella on Wednesday, authorities confirmed.
Officials said the teenagers had approached the Nallah when they accidentally slipped into its deep waters. Locals immediately responded to their cries for help and informed the police, but unfortunately, both boys could not be rescued in time.
The victims have been identified as Akshay Kumar (15), son of Himat Singh of Kamega Chagsoo, and Sujal Singh (15), son of Kashmir Singh of Malhota Panshai. Investigations into the incident are currently underway.
The incident has left the local community in shock, highlighting the importance of safety precautions near rivers and water bodies, especially for children and teenagers. Authorities have urged residents to stay vigilant and supervise minors when near water.
