Under its influence, light to moderate snowfall is expected across the higher reaches. Such as Sonamarg, Gulmarg, Sinthan Top, Razdan Pass, Zojila Pass, Doodhpathri, and other similar high-altitude areas are likely to witness snowfall. The primary impact of this system is expected over South Kashmir and parts of North Kashmir.

Plains are expected to remain generally cloudy with mostly dry conditions. However, there is a 40–55% probability of precipitation in the plains, which could fall as rain or snow depending on the timing and intensity. The plains of South Kashmir have a relatively higher chance (around 45%) of receiving snowfall tonight, with some chances extending to other plain areas as well. If snowfall occurs in the plains, accumulation is expected to be light, around 1–3 inches.

The situation is being closely monitored, and any significant changes will be shared through timely updates.

Once this Western Disturbance moves away, predominantly dry weather conditions are expected to prevail until January 14–15. During this period, a sharp drop in minimum temperatures is likely, leading to intensified cold conditions.
