J&K Police Adjusts 144 Sub-Inspectors After Promotion Orders
Srinagar/Jammu, Mar 27: The Jammu and Kashmir Police has issued an official order regarding the adjustment of 144 Sub-Inspectors (SIs) across the Union Territory following their recent promotions.
According to the order issued by Police Headquarters Jammu, the adjustment has been carried out on an “as is where is basis,” meaning the officers will continue at their current places of posting after promotion.
The decision comes in reference to multiple earlier orders issued by the Police Headquarters, Kashmir Zone, and Jammu Zone between January and March 2026.
Officials stated that the adjustment will be effective from the dates the officers were promoted to the rank of Sub-Inspector.
A list of officers, including Ajit Dhar, Vikram Kumar Raina, Abdul Hamid Gogar, Javid Ahmad Khan, and several others, has been included in the official order along with their respective PID numbers.
The move is aimed at ensuring administrative stability and smooth functioning within the department while recognizing the promotions of the officers.
