J&K Government Transfers Three JKAS Officers, Issues Fresh Posting Orders
Srinagar, July 11: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the transfer and posting of three Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers with immediate effect in the interest of administration.
The transfers were made through Government Order No. 1197-JK(GAD) of 2026, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD).
According to the order, Maxiumn Gorkie, JKAS, who was earlier awaiting posting as Chief Sports Officer in the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, has now been appointed as General Manager, Jammu and Kashmir Road Transport Corporation (JKRTC), Jammu, against an available vacancy.
In another transfer, Swati Gupta, Junior Scale JKAS, who had been posted to the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, has been shifted and her services placed at the disposal of the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (Migrants), Jammu and Kashmir, for further posting.
Meanwhile, Monish Kumar, Junior Scale JKAS, who was awaiting adjustment in the General Administration Department, has been transferred and his services placed at the disposal of the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council for further posting.
The latest administrative reshuffle is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to streamline administrative functioning and fill key positions across various departments.
Officials said the transfers take effect immediately as per the government order.
