Promotion of Inspectors as Deputy Superintendent of Police (Ministerial) in J&K
Srinagar, Mar 31: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the promotion of several Inspectors (Ministerial) to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Ministerial).
According to an official order issued by the Home Department, five officers have been promoted to the rank of Deputy SP (Ministerial) in Level-8 of the pay matrix with immediate effect.

The officers who have been promoted include:
- Fida Hussain Sheikh
- Farooq Ahmad Naikoo
- Mohd Farooq Mir
- Manzoor Hussain
- Abdul Rashid Mir

The order further states that these promotions will remain subject to the outcome of any pending writ petitions, if any, before a competent court of law.
The government has also directed that necessary formalities be completed, and copies of the order have been forwarded to concerned departments and authorities for implementation.
