J&K Weather Forecast: Dry Spell Till October 4, Light Rain and Snow Expected on October 5-6
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir is likely to experience generally dry weather until October 4, while a spell of light rain and snowfall over higher reaches is forecast for October 5 and 6, according to the Meteorological Centre.
Weather conditions are expected to remain generally dry on September 30 and from October 1 to 4, providing a window for agricultural activities across the Union Territory.
On October 5 and 6, partly to generally cloudy weather is likely across Jammu and Kashmir. The Meteorological Centre has forecast light rain, thunder and gusty winds at a few places during this period. Light snowfall may also occur over higher reaches.
The weather is expected to turn dry again on October 7 and 8.
Another spell of partly to generally cloudy weather is forecast from October 9 to 11. During this period, scattered areas may receive light rain, while light snowfall is possible over higher reaches. Thunder and gusty winds may also occur at some places.
The Meteorological Centre has advised farmers to continue harvesting apples and paddy and undertake other agricultural operations during the available dry-weather window.
