KPDCL Scheduled Power Outage: Charangam, Pundgund, Wadwan & Nearby Areas to Face Power Cuts
SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has issued a scheduled power outage update for several areas, with power supply interruptions planned as part of ongoing maintenance and electrical works.
According to the KPDCL notice dated September 29, 2026, the scheduled shutdown will affect areas receiving power from the Charangam and Wadwen receiving stations.
Power Shutdown on September 30
The Charangam Receiving Station will remain affected on September 30, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The following feeders and areas are listed in the notice:
- Charangam F01: Charangam, Sichen and Mulshulla
- Pundgund F02: Nijjul, Malikgund, Dei and Punchgund
The scheduled work includes DT charging, HT AB cable stringing and cable kitting.
Power Shutdown on October 1 and 3
The KPDCL notice also lists scheduled work at the Wadwen Receiving Station on October 1 and October 3, 2026.
The affected feeders include:
- Wadwan F1: Wadwan
- Russu F3: Russu & Gotpora
- Gotpora F4: Gariend and Kallan
The work listed is HT work and branch cutting.
KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to remain updated regarding the scheduled shutdown and expressed regret for the inconvenience.
