JPDCL Announces Power Shutdown in Kathua Areas on October 25
SRINAGAR: The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced a scheduled power shutdown in several parts of Kathua district on October 25, 2025, due to essential maintenance work.
According to the Superintending Engineer (Distribution), OM Circle Kathua, electricity supply will remain affected from 7:00 am to 11:00 am in the following areas:
- Kalibari
- Azadpur
- Housing Colony
- Upper Shivanagar
- And adjoining localities
The power shutdown is necessary to carry out maintenance and system improvement works to ensure better and more reliable electricity supply in the future.
Residents and business owners in the affected areas have been advised to plan their activities accordingly and take necessary precautions during the power outage.
However, officials have not announced any alternative power supply arrangements for the duration of the shutdown.
