the Jammu and Kashmir Government has granted a three-day special casual leave for PM Package, migrant, and Jammu-based employees currently serving in the Kashmir Valley. This leave will allow them to celebrate Diwali with their families in Jammu.
The official order, numbered 1373-JK(GAD) of 2025 and dated October 22, 2025, was issued by the General Administration Department (GAD).
According to the order, the special leave has been sanctioned for Wednesday, October 22, 2025; Thursday, October 23, 2025; and Friday, October 24, 2025.

The directive applies to employees belonging to the Prime Minister’s Rehabilitation Package (PM Package), migrant employees, and other staff based in Jammu who are posted across various departments in the Kashmir Valley.
The order states that the sanction is accorded specifically “for celebrating Diwali at Jammu.”
