Srinagar, Oct 21 (Times of Kashmir): The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted a mix of cloudy, dry, and wet weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir this week, with light rain and snowfall likely over isolated higher reaches on some days.
According to the latest weather bulletin issued on Tuesday, the region is expected to witness partly to generally cloudy skies on October 21, with a brief spell of very light rain or snow over higher reaches in north and central Kashmir.
The forecast suggests mainly dry weather for most areas between October 22 and 23, while October 24 may see a short spell of light snowfall over upper reaches during late afternoon or evening hours. From October 25 to 27, the weather will remain dry with partly to generally cloudy conditions prevailing across the Union Territory.

As per the MeT Centre, a fresh spell of light rain and snow is possible between October 28 and 29, particularly in higher altitudes of Gulmarg, Sonamarg, and Kupwara. The weather is expected to turn dry again towards the end of the month, i.e., October 30 and 31.
Farmers have been advised to continue their routine agricultural activities as the overall weather conditions remain largely favourable during this period.
Meanwhile, temperatures across several parts of Kashmir have started to dip gradually, marking the early signs of the approaching winter season. Residents in hilly and upper reaches have been advised to take necessary precautions against cold conditions.
