JKBOSE Clarifies: Class 12 Prac tical Exams to Be Conducted After Theory Papers

Srinagar, Oct 21 (Times of Kashmir): The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has clarified that practical examinations for Class 12 students will be conducted only after the completion of theory papers, dismissing rumours suggesting otherwise.

Speaking to JKNS, JKBOSE Secretary Sheikh Ghulam Hassan said that no official order has been issued regarding the conduct of practical exams before theory papers. “There should be no confusion. We have not issued any statement regarding the conduct of practical exams before theory papers. Students must rely only on official updates from our website,” he stated.

Hassan further said that the practical exams will take place soon after the main theory papers to ensure the timely declaration of results. “We want results to be declared before winter vacations and snowfall. That is why practicals will be conducted soon after the theory exams,” he added.

The Secretary also cautioned students against believing fake or unofficial information circulating on social media. “Students should focus on their studies and keep checking the official JKBOSE website for authentic information,” he advised.

Earlier, reports claiming that the board intended to hold practical exams before theory papers had sparked concern among students, prompting widespread discussion across social media platforms. However, the latest clarification from the board has put an end to the confusion.
